Top 5 Online Courses to Upskill in Marketing

There has never been a more optimal opportunity to get stuck into an online course and upskill in your career.

Many of us have found ourselves with a lot more time on our hands, and wondering how we can spend this time productively – whether that’s getting fitness levels up, making the ultimate quarantine banana bread or deciding to upskill in your career. Luckily enough, there are opportunities for many of us to potentially attempt all three.

TalentHub’s resident Career Coach, Morgan Cummins, stated in his recent interview with JOE.IE, “there is no better time to invest in yourself”.

Rolling forward to interviews in the future, questions such as ‘So during this period, what did you spend your time doing?’ will be asked by hiring managers, as they’ll be looking to see more of people’s attitudes and values when hiring, rather than just focusing on skills and abilities.

See more on his interview in the video below.

So with this in mind, we decided to share our top online courses, mainly free or relatively cheap, that provide excellent online training for Marketing professionals.

1. Udemy, especially for Graphic Design Skills

In the current times, with everything being about online aesthetic appeal and pictorial representations completely taking over, as a Marketer there is no better time to develop your graphic design skills.

Having this particular skill is also very beneficial during these difficult times, as it’s highly sought after on Freelancing websites such as UpWork, where you can pitch for work and earn some extra cash for yourself.

But merely downloading Adobe Photoshop is not enough. What you need instead is proper training to be able to use the tool efficiently. One of the best Adobe Creative Suite training out there, and comes highly recommended by TalentHub’s very own Marketing Guru who used it herself to upskill, is Udemy.

Udemy has many carefully designed courses on Graphic Design for beginners, intermediate levels, as well as advanced designers, where you can also choose between the different design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.

Udemy’s credibility in the online industry of learning is great, and a Photoshop course certification from the platform is sought-after by many professionals.
