Friederike Fabritius on Sustaining your Peak Performance
A Mindset Shift interview back by popular demand is Tim McCarthy‘s session with Friederike Fabritius. Friederike is a neuroscientist, keynote speaker, and an award-winning author. She delivers brain-based leadership programs to Fortune 500 executives and organisations around the globe to transform how they think, innovate, and navigate change.
In this episode, Friederike shares some of her top tips and learnings on how to sustain your peak performance:
To sustain your peak performance, you need to sustain your energy. To sustain your energy, Friederike says you need to focus on the three S’s; sleep, snacks and sports. You need to get enough sleep, eat a balanced diet and move your body.
You need to foster a growth mindset. Her advice to people lacking a growth mindset is to reduce fear, activate your body by moving and surround yourself with positive people.
With remote working being the new norm, Friederike says you need to be selective over what video calls and meetings you give your energy to. She explains that it’s important to block off time in your calendar for thinking time and silence.
