Strategic Business Development Manager – Corporate Services

We are looking for a very polished and highly professional Business Development manager, to join a professional services firm whose client portfolio includes many of the world’s best known tech/dotcom brands, as well as some of the coolest startups in Europe.

Whilst this firm do have indigenous clients, their focus is on FDI business, and so there is a preference for candidates who have worked in the FDI space previously.

This employer has a preference for candidates who come from /started off in employment with such bodies as the IDA, Enterprise Ireland, Bord Bia, Tourism Ireland, Failte Ireland, any of the business Chambers or Local Enterprise Offices (LEO’s) – however if you don’t have these on your CV, don’t let that stop you applying if you meet all the other criteria!

The Strategic Business Development Manager:

  • Likely to be Degree calibre educated, and have 3+ years’ experience in a professional services, hospitality, management consultancy or other B2B Corporate environment, especially the employers named above.
  • You will identify new prospects/leads and employ a highly consultative approach in converting them to clients, with the support of a great team to help you at a tactical and operational level.
  • You will have strategic input into the Marketing and Events calendar, ensuring that all marketing and event opportunities are aligned with the overall BD Strategy
  • You are a visionary with a natural talent for spotting potential in Partnerships and Opportunities.
  • Ideally, you are experienced in dealing with businesses from the Start-up and FDI community – you understand the challenges and pressures felt by the owners/managers of these businesses and you are a solution-focused person who forges and maintains great long term relationships with these communities.
  • You are highly organised, numerate, methodical and have a natural flair for strategic planning and implementation.
  • You are customer-obsessed! You have come from a business where the customer/client is the number one priority.
  • You convey credibility with senior/C Suite stakeholders and peers.
  • First class communication and presentation skills. A warm, approachable personality and someone who finds it easy to win friends and influence people!
  • You are natural networker, always generating and nurturing leads in a very polished and professional manner.
