The Opportunity:

On behalf of one of Ireland’s best loved brands, TalentHub is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join its Marketing Team.

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of social media strategy for the brand, operating in all markets. This role will suit someone who is comfortable with developing highly creative social media marketing campaigns and has demonstrated the ability to think strategically and implement innovative ideas resulting in significant social engagement and PR value.

The successful candidate will have a flair of capturing the zeitgeist and will do this with a keen understanding of the Brand purpose, tone of voice and how social media fits into the marketing mix to build brand affinity and consideration.


  • Responsible for the ownership, development and implementation of the brand’s social media strategy, acting as the editorial lead across all social platforms.
  • Work with agencies, publishers, platforms (directly and indirectly) to create social media marketing plans that connect with customers, maximise engagement and create sharing, talkability and advocacy.
  • Strong understanding of how to use social media to strategically build brand awareness
  • Build relationships with key online publishers (Google, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) to deeply understand ad platforms and identify opportunities to be first mover in this space
  • Work collaboratively with many internal and senior stakeholders across marketing, brand, web team, Guest Experience PR, HR and sponsorship, to ensure alignment of social media strategy with business needs, product pipeline and announcements.
  • Provide inspirational and creative thought leadership on ways to reach and gain attention of target audiences
  • Be the social voice for the brand, championing the social strategy within the organisation.
  • Develop influencer strategy to amplify key messages, support campaigns and build on brand and sponsorship initiatives.
  • Set up paid social media campaigns in-house to ensure speed to marketing, audience building, profiling, targeting, optimisation and reporting.
  • Establish goals and clearly defined metrics of success to measure brand sentiment, quality of content, audience growth, engagement, and content reach.
  • Compile weekly performance reports, quarterly reviews and social trends analysis, to keep to date and drive performance and innovation.
  • Manage a social budget in line with the overall marketing spend, ensuring efficient spend, maximising impacts and ability to react to opportunities.
  • Manage Global Content Manager to plan and populate social media content pipeline to support business needs.

What you need to have:

  • Experience working in the social media industry
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent qualification
  • The Social Media Manager will be responsible for making decisions that could potentially impact on the reputation of the brand. Good judgement and governance are required in order to ensure that risks are managed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage third party suppliers / agencies.
  • Proven ability to work at a strategic level to formulate social media content plans
  • Proven ability to identify early-stage trends in social practice and opportunities for innovation
  • Highest levels of attention to detail in the composition of content
  • An excellent command of the English language for the purpose of writing copy
  • Brand and design-savvy, with excellent attention to detail for creative/content development.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU
  • Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
  • Provide 3 verifiable references
