Our client is Ireland’s largest digital media house with a collective Irish social following of over 3.1 million and an overall monthly readership of 4.69 million. From current affairs, entertainment and lifestyle to sports, they have access to some of the biggest names, as well as partnering with many of the world’s leading brands

They are looking for a Head of Creative Strategy to join and lead their team and play a key creative role in the development and delivery of engaging, innovative branded content across their portfolio. As the Head of Creative Strategy, you are the creative shot caller on all projects, working and leading the team on the overall ideation, creation and execution of all commercial campaigns.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, scale and manage the growing Creative Team, delegating and prioritising tasks among the team
  • Play an integral role in creating best-in-class digital campaigns for our many clients, while still working to tight deadlines.
  • Provide creative direction and constructive feedback and oversee the evolution of the work
  • Monitor and maintain quality of all commercial creative executions including editorial, video, design, etc – ensuring they can give clear, concise creative direction to the design and video team
  • Research key insights to ensure both the Editorial & Commercial team are at the forefront of the latest content trends.


  • 5 years’ experience creating editorial/ branded content in a fast-moving environment (preferably a creative agency or publisher).
  • Strength in individual and collaborative idea generation
  • A solid understanding of social media and emerging platforms
  • Ability to build creative concepts into deliverable executions
  • Experience of writing example creative treatments and scripts
  • Can review and advise on the quality of creative assets produced
  • A thirst to produce game-changing, award-winning work
  • Effective communicator and negotiator with strong strategic decision-making skills
  • Excellent computer proficiency, specifically Microsoft Word, PPT & Excel, KeyNote and Google Drive
  • Present and discuss ideas clearly, and to help translate concepts to the wider team in a detailed and methodical manner
    Ability to work autonomously and with initiative
  • Experience with Google Analytics or other relevant insights tools
  • Knowledge of key social media trends
