Overview

On behalf of an innovative forward thinking e-commerce Irish brand TalentHub are delighted to be looking for an experienced Data Scientist. The company has experienced exponential growth in recent years and is looking for a data driven professional who wants to grow with one of the fastest growing e-commerce brands in Ireland. The person will be joining a culturally diverse team which has its H.Q in Dublin with further offices throughout Europe and the wider world.

This is a hands on exciting opportunity where the successful candidate will get the opportunity to work with an amazing team, creating real impact and results.

Key Responsibilities:
Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities using data to drive business value.
Prototyping and building of classification models, both supervised and unsupervised to enable our various stakeholders better understand our customers and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation and other business outcomes.
Prototyping and building of Machine Learning models to aid predictions incl Fraud, Customer lifetime value, Churn etc.,
Working collaboratively with our Data Engineering team where necessary to ensure we have the appropriate data in our data warehouse and assist the engineering team with building of pipelines to load the data as required.
Implement processes that improve and lead to greater data quality.
Work with our Data Engineering teams to build real-time integrated decision-making systems powered by machine learning and classification engines.
Document all processes and research.
Identify data patterns and trends.

Key Experience:
Of graduate calibre ideally with a biased towards statistical or mathematical field of study.
Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
Expert in statistical modelling and data mining.
Strong analytical/modelling skills with ability to convert raw data into actionable business insights.
Excellent applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
Experience with open source data science tools such as R and Python.
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
Experience working with the Google Cloud BI stack, including BigQuery, Dataflow, AI, PubSub etc. to build end-to-end data applications.
Comfortable in both a leadership and team-player role.
Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
Goal-oriented, organized team player.
Experience working on Lifetime Value Modelling is a plus.
