An exciting opportunity to join a much loved Irish food brand as a Communications Manager ( on a 12 month maternity cover) has just come opened up. It is a versatile role encompassing corporate and brand communications, Public Relations, event management, sponsorship, advertising, internal communications, stakeholder management and reputation management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of the brands communication programme of activity including corporate, brand, internal, and in-market team communications support
  • Management of brand identity across global sites
  • Support Group Public Relations including media relations, delivery of PR activity and speaking opportunities
  • Support the brands sponsorship programme
  • Support the Marketing manager with marketing and brand work including advertising, annual report, presentations, brochures, video, articles
  • Event management of key internal and external events throughout the year
  • Management of internal communication channels including content creation and delivery of staff initiatives
  • Support issues and crisis management
  • Manage relationships with media agencies, PR and creative partners and other third-party suppliers
  • Financial and other administration support as required

Key requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the Irish food industry and passionate about Irish food is desirable
  • Experience in communications, branding & event management
  • Good knowledge of digital desired
  • An excellent understanding of how to communicate with different audiences and strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence and build relationships and to explain complex issues
  • Minimum 5 years of communications agency / in-house experience
  • Proven record of devising internal and external communication plans
  • Proven record in issues and crisis management
  • Creative and energetic person with an ability to work under own initiative
  • Excellent content creation, copy writing skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and project planning/management skills
  • Experience in budgeting and basic financial reporting
  • Periods of travel throughout the year
  • Full driving license
