Exclusive Search Case Study: Core


Our client

Core is Ireland’s largest marketing communications company. They are now a collective of nine agencies practices, working towards a single purpose, to expand the possibilities of what brands can achieve.

They have billings of €235 million and employ over 300 FT employees. They are responsible for planning & buying over a third of all the adverts we see across Digital, TV, Radio, Press and out of home channels.


The Brief

3 years ago, their visionary board set up the first of its kind data science agency to service their clients and the communications industry in Ireland.

Due to continued growth, the time came to recruit their first Managing Director of the Data Practice.

The challenge provided was to find them someone from outside their network that would bring new ways thinking and shape their future growth plans.


Our solution

It all started with the brief and a series of one on one workshops with their senior leadership team.

Given the unique nature of the role, from these workshops, we produced a comprehensive one-page brief. This enabled us to deliver a pinpoint market map of the local and international talent pool and in turn get the talent really excited about the opportunity.

After the presentation of our market map and shortlist, 8 chemistry sessions were set up for their leadership team. From this 4 candidates entered into the formal process, and after a thorough series of interviews, they selected their new Managing Director.
