Our Client

The Anthony Nicholas Group (ANG) encompasses two jewellery companies – Fraser Hart and Fields the Jeweller. Established for over 80 years, the group has become a trusted brand within the industry, winning numerous awards for customer service, high quality and unique design. They operate in over 50 retail outlets across the UK and Ireland.

The Brief

Due to the continued growth of their online sales channels and the importance of delivering a digital-first way of thinking for their customers, the time was right for ANG to recruit a Director of E-commerce.

Their responsibility was to develop the company’s marketing strategy across all channels and bring a ‘one customer’ approach way of thinking. The key call out was for a leader with empathy that could operate a board level and nurture and develop a high performing team.

Our Solution

After a comprehensive chemistry session with our new client, we requested to come back again to be brought though their business strategy and vision to enable us to learn more about their business and culture.

Critical to the project success was the time their CEO gave in this workshop as it provided a deeper understanding into where the business was heading and type of person needed from a cultural POV that would really work for their growing needs.

This enabled us to deliver a pinpoint market map of the local and international talent pool and in turn get the talent really excited about the opportunity to work with the ANG. After the presentation of our market map and shortlist, 6 initial chemistry sessions were set up for their leadership team.

From this 4 candidates entered into the formal process, and after a thorough series of interviews they selected their new Director of E-commerce.
